Added RSS feed for histo.ucsf.edu/BMS270 (more about RSS).

The site currently contains my slides and supplementary material for the second session of the BMS270 Practical Bioinformatics minicourse. The slides, code, and transcripts may be fleshed out/cleaned up at some point. In the mean time, here are some useful things to know:

• The most useful part of the site is the links to "Learning Python" and the BLAST book. Read these first.
• There are transcripts from my in-class interactive Python sessions. These contain both commands that didn't work (so look for tracebacks) and large documentation dumps. Searching for ">>>" is useful in navigating the transcripts.
• Most students had no prior programming experience, but did have a very strong background in genetics and molecular biology. Good textbooks for the relevant biology are Molecular Biology of the Cell (Alberts et. al., Garland) and Genes (Lewin, Oxford University Press).
